@VSRam, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with a BIOS error (502), which could be preventing your screen from turning on despite the system being operational. Given that the system diagnosis passed, the issue is likely related to the BIOS settings, hardware issues, or display connections. Here are a few steps to troubleshoot:
1. Hard Reset
- Power off the laptop.
- Unplug the power cord and remove the battery (if removable).
- Hold down the power button for 15-20 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Reconnect the power cord and battery, then try powering on again.
2. BIOS Reset
Since the BIOS error message is showing, try resetting the BIOS to its default settings:
- Restart the laptop and press a specific key (usually Esc, F2, or F10) during boot to access the BIOS settings. If you can see the BIOS screen despite the black screen, look for a “Reset to Default” or “Restore Defaults” option.
3. External Display Test
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV using HDMI or VGA (if available). If the external display works, the issue might be with the laptop’s screen or its connection.
4. Check for Loose or Damaged Cables
- If your laptop’s screen is detachable or if you can access its internals, check for any loose or disconnected display cables.
5. Check for Hardware Issues
- If the above steps do not resolve the issue, there may be a hardware problem with the motherboard or the display itself. In this case, contacting HP support or a professional technician may be necessary.
