Hi @ItayG790,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with screen flickering on your HP Spectre x360 could be caused by several issues, including display driver problems, system settings, or even a hardware malfunction.

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Update the Graphics Driver:

  • Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu.
  • Expand Display adapters, right-click on your graphics driver, and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for drivers. Alternatively, you can go to the HP support website and download the latest driver for your specific model.

Adjust Display Refresh Rate:

  • Go to Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings.
  • Check the refresh rate and ensure it’s set to the recommended value (usually 60 Hz).

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and ensure your system is up to date.

Disable Hardware Acceleration:

  • In some cases, hardware acceleration in certain apps can cause screen flickering.
  • Try disabling hardware acceleration in web browsers or other apps that support this feature (e.g., Chrome: Go to Settings > System and turn off Use hardware acceleration when available).

Check Task Manager:

  • Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) when the flickering occurs.
  • If Task Manager is flickering as well, it might be a driver issue. If only the desktop or applications flicker, it’s likely a software or application issue.

Run HP Diagnostic Tool: HP PCs - Testing for hardware failures

  • Restart your laptop and press F2 to enter HP Diagnostics.
  • Run a System Test or Graphics Test to check for hardware issues with the display or graphics card.

Update BIOS:

  • Visit HP’s support page for your model and check if a BIOS update is available. Updating the BIOS can sometimes fix display-related issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
