Pavilion HPE h9-1250t
Microsoft Windows Vista (64-bit)

Could not run Battlefield 1. Ran HP diagnostic....stated video too slow, all other areas good.

Took to BB, to install NVIDIA 1070 video card. Stated it will fit, should run w/600W PS. 2 Days still no work. They gave up. What I've read isays it might be in the Bios? Will not accept update from NVIDIA to 376.33. (current 361.75)

Any help?

@kemosabe45, welcome to the forum.

Your problem is being caused by the fact that the GTX 1070 requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a Legacy BIOS.  HP didn't begin using UEFI until mid-October, 2012.  The BIOS can't be upgraded to UEFI.  Therefore, the card will not work.

You may want to check with the manufacturers to see if they have a card that will work with either UEFI or a Legacy BIOS.  I know that MSI has a GTX 750Ti that has a switch.

HI

It will be difficult to have support regarding this, there is no table of compatible graphics, just inform you that the motherboard you have is not compatible with the GeForce GTX 1070 graphics.

Sorry for the IPIWB-PB (Pittsburgh) motherboard, it does not move graphics higher than GTX 600, for my own experience, if possible maybe the AMD R9 series of sapphire.

I will attempt to find an e-mail @ NVIDIA that can help with my problem. My HP is still a completely viable machine,

but as with me, we are are experienceing parts slowing down or failing to keep up.
