HP 24fw with Audio 24-inch Display

I am working from home and I have  purchased a new HP monitor HP 24fw with audio.  When connecting to my laptop via HDMI, my wifi connection seems to be disturbed and eventually disconnects completely.  Within seconds of taking out the HDMI cable from the laptop, connectivity is established again and everything works fine.

This is really frustrating. I would never have thought a monitor connection to laptop via HDMI would interfere with WIFI. Please can someone provide some advice?

Please note the following:

Only laptop wifi connection ceases

I Have tried various HDMI cables

I am within close proximity to my wifi router

I have restarted my wifi router and selected different channel

At best I have been able to use the monitor for 45 mins before the wifi is disconnected on the laptop

@MrGSB

I reviewed your post and I understand that the wireless connection drops when you connect the monitor to your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

What is the make and model of your computer?

Have you tested wireless without the HDMI connection?

As you have rightly pointed out, the monitor will not interfere with your wireless connection and neither does the HDMI connection. However, I recommend you uninstall the wireless driver on your computer and reinstall it and check if it helps.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
