No signal to monitor new computer

HP Recommended
Elitedesk 800G5 SFF
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just bought Elitedesk 800G5 but no signal to monitor via HDMI cable, cable works fine from the laptop.

I have tried other cables but nothing seems to work, all HP Helpline suggests is to return the computer.

Should I assume this is just a faulty unit and get a replacement of move to another model?
