Have an HP Envy 795-0050 (running Windows 10 Professional) that worked perfectly with Viewsonic monitor connected using the monitor’s HDMI cable two days ago. Moved to different home. Disconnected everything and moved the computer and monitor. I’ve now tried the Viewsonic and the HP monitor I used previously and three different HDMI cables. Same result each time. Monitor shows “no signal.”  All suggestions appreciated.

I would physically uninstall the video card. The onboard video is not available while there is a video card installed.

Once that is done you can connect to the motherboard HDMI connector to see if using the onboard video works.

If you have a video signal output when that is done, it would indicate that there is a problem with the video card.

Thank you!!!!! You reminded me that there are two HDMI connectors on the back. And, yes, I was inadvertently connected to the onboard connector instead of the one on the video card. All is well and I am responding from my desktop machine now!

Great. I figured that could be the inadvertent case.

Rest assured, you are not the only one who has made that mistake before.
