Do Omen laptops come with any OLED screen refresh or pixel refresh features? I have looked all over the internet and the Omen Gaming Hub but I did not find any. If there are no such features, is OLED refresh a hardware thing or would you be able to download software to do refreshes?

@Question21, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
OMEN laptops, as of the latest information available, do not typically come with OLED screen refresh or pixel refresh features. The OLED refresh features you might be referring to, such as pixel refresh and pixel shifting, are more commonly associated with OLED monitors rather than laptops. These features are designed to prevent burn-in and improve the longevity of OLED panels.
OLED refresh capabilities are primarily hardware-based. They involve technologies implemented directly within the monitor or display hardware, such as pixel shifting, static screen detection, and pixel refresh functions. These functions help manage image retention and burn-in for OLED displays and are typically not user-accessible via software applications or downloads.
For monitors like the OMEN Transcend 31.5 inch UHD 240Hz OLED Gaming Monitor, pixel refresh and other OLED protection features are integrated into the monitor's firmware and are automatically operational to enhance display life. Unfortunately, similar functionality is not likely available for OLED screens on laptops, and these features are generally not available through downloadable software for laptops.
Specific software solutions for OLED refresh do not exist as these adjustments require direct manipulation of display properties, which is managed by hardware controllers rather than software applications. If you are looking for enhanced features similar to monitor pixel refresh for an OLED laptop screen, it might be worth investigating external monitor options that come with these features in-built.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
