Hello there.
I have another question regarding OMEN 27 as I was able to test a second one for another reason.
The fact is that I am facing on both (so I assume it is not screen related) a flashing of the image for one or a few times when coming out of monitor standby (not computer standby).
I have made a bunch of tests, and this happens only with G-Sync on and at high Hz, like 144 or 165.
Does not happen when at 85Hz for example.
Just as someone will ask, I have Deep Sleep disabled, and monitor is connected using DisplayPort.
I have tried also a bunch of DisplayPort cables, and I have seen that a not good cable would cause a lot of OFF/ON flashes.
Now I have a cable that it is stated to be DP 1.4 and that it is 5mt long (I need such length), and I only have these OFF/ON flashes when coming out of standby...but wanting to verify it, I bought a different brand of DP 1.4, and with the second one I have continuous flashes OFF/ON at 144 and 165Hz, while non (so everything works ok) at 85Hz.
This for both OMEN 27 monitors. To be precise, one monitor does not even turn on.
I have tried also a 1080p 240Hz monitor from another brand, and I have noticed the same OFF/On flashing when exiting from monitor standby.
Is it a cable issue? Did someone have ever encountered such behavior? I know that a 5 meter cable is long, but I can't differently...or at least I don't know how to have 165Hz in another way.
Thank you.

I'm sorry...can you please tell me what kind of answer is this? Don't get me wrong, but it is not helpful at all.
It is like asking to a community of car enthusiast about a strange sound from the hood, and getting as an answer to go to my own car brand mechanic!!
If I wanted to go ask the HP Help support, I was already there!
I am asking the community/owners/enthusiasts/and also help support like you...but I don't want an answer like "you should ask for replacement!" or whatever...
Display works very fine, and in games is working perfectly since the beginning, and yet had no issues at all.
Only this little flashing when coming out monitor standby, that I suspect it could be an issue related to poor bandwidth carried from the cable.
I have tried a lot of DP cables, and some were having the same issue much more pronounced than with others DP cables (like mine that for now it looks the best, and plus it does not have the pin20 not connected).
I have the exact same behavior with the original HP cable that was sent within the box of the display.
So....any help from the any other user with this monitor, or some tech that have encountered same behavior with other monitor, and can tell me their experience??
Thank you.
Thank you.
