I recently bought the Omen 25i monitor and am having trouble with the USB input port. I connected the USB-B end to the monitor and tried the USB-A end on all my laptop's ports, but the monitor still says there's no input.

My laptop's USB ports work with other devices, and the HDMI port works just fine on the monitor. (It's kind of a hassle to keep switching my HDMI cord between my Switch and my laptop, since the monitor only has one HDMI port.)

For some reason, my monitor didn't come with a User/Setup Guide, so I'm a little in the dark here. Any ideas are appreciated!

Hello
maybe someone else can help you, because I have never used this type of connection
But if it helps, there's something to clear up I guess
confirm this model if it is this one

You have the manual here, since you say that not provided

User Guide

Quick Setup Guide

Maintenance and Service Guide

check the connections and other indications if there are (sorry, I don't have time to read them all)
maybe try with another computer if possible
if nothing can be done, contact the after-sales service in your country!

Note, from what I understood by quickly reading a document
you connect the usb cable B to the computer
then you can for example connect a keyboard, or a mouse, to the monitor (if I'm not mistaken)

@okem98 --  the monitor still says there's no input

Is this your monitor: OMEN 25i Monitor | HP® Official Site

This web-page lists:

• One  DisplayPort™ 1.4

• One HDMI 2.0

• Two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1

• One USB-B

• Audio-out (headphone) jack

The 1st entry accepts video from your computer.

The 2nd entry accepts video from your computer.

The 3rd entry allows you to indirectly connect 2 USB devices (keyboard, mouse, webcam, scanner, printer) to your computer.

The 4th entry connects to a USB-A port on your computer, to allow the devices in the 3rd entry to connect to your computer

But, the "no input" indicates that your monitor is "listening" to the wrong port (#1 or #2 above).

For example, if you have connected an HDMI cable, and the monitor is "listening" to the DisplayPort, you will get the "no input" message. In that case, use the OSD ("On Screen Display") to tell the monitor to "listen" to the HDMI port.

It's kind of a hassle to keep switching my HDMI cord between my Switch and my laptop, since the monitor only has one HDMI port.

Does your laptop, or your switch, have a DisplayPort video-output port?

If so, use a DisplayPort cable from that device to the DIsplayPort input on the monitor, and keep using the HDMI port on your other device (Switch / Laptop).

Note that there do exist cables that have a HDMI connector at one end, with a DisplayPort connector at the other end.  Connect the HDMI-connector to your Switch/Laptop, and the DIsplayPort-connector to your monitor. Then, use the OSD to tell the monitor which device is to be the active device. Thus, you will not need to physically "swap" cables -- the OSD will do it electronically.

Sorry for the late response--it does have a DisplayPort! It's a DisplayPort mini though, and the cable included w/ the monitor was just a normal DisplayPort type on both ends.

I just got an adapter/regular-to-mini cable today and thought that might fix my problem, but the monitor still isn't picking up any input from my laptop. I have auto-switch input on, but I also tried manually switching input and nothing worked.
