Hi there, this isn't the first issue I've had with this display which I had to figure out myself.
This time 2 months after my warranty expires, I started to notice some coil whine from the back of the monitor when it's off or on sleep. On sleep it's on the verge of being audible.
I unplugged everything, and tried different plugs etc. It stops when the power is disconnected.

Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you can hear a whining sound from your OMEN 25i Gaming FHD Monitor.
Not to worry, Sounds much higher pitched than the standard 50/60Hz hum of AC power, I'd guess it's the whine of an inductor. Probably nothing to be concerned about.
Even if you think it needs diagnostics then i have sent you a private message to connect to our tech team over the phone.
