Hello,
I just got my Omen 27k display, it is a great display and in theory all works fine. However nvidia control center is showing the attached display is not g-sync compatible, although it should be. All BIOS and drivers are up to date. Anyone having the same error?
Best regards
Christian

Hi @eda07 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It's great to hear that you're enjoying your Omen 27k display! Regarding the G-Sync compatibility issue, this is a common concern that can often be resolved with a few troubleshooting steps.
Here are some things you can try:
Check DisplayPort Version: Ensure that your Omen 27k is connected to your NVIDIA GPU using a DisplayPort 1.2 or higher cable. HDMI connections might not support G-Sync on some monitors, so using a DisplayPort cable is recommended for full G-Sync functionality.- Enable G-Sync in NVIDIA Control Panel: Sometimes, G-Sync is not enabled by default. Open the NVIDIA Control Panel, go to "Display" > "Set up G-SYNC," and ensure that both "Enable G-SYNC, G-SYNC Compatible" and "Enable settings for the selected display model" are checked.
- Check Monitor Settings: Some monitors require G-Sync or FreeSync to be enabled in the monitor's on-screen display (OSD) menu. Check your Omen 27k's OSD settings and ensure that any adaptive sync or FreeSync options are enabled.
- Update Monitor Firmware: Even though you've updated all BIOS and drivers, there might also be a firmware update available for your monitor. Check the HP support website for any firmware updates for your Omen 27k. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Reinstall NVIDIA Drivers: Sometimes, reinstalling your NVIDIA drivers can help. Use the "Clean Installation" option during the installation process to reset all display settings.
- Try Different Ports: If your monitor has multiple DisplayPort inputs, try switching to a different one. Similarly, if your GPU has multiple outputs, try using another DisplayPort output.
- Use a Certified G-Sync Compatible Monitor Cable: Ensure that the DisplayPort cable you're using is a high-quality, certified one. Low-quality or damaged cables can cause compatibility issues.
- Test on Another Computer: If possible, test the monitor with another NVIDIA GPU-equipped computer to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the monitor or the computer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi,
thanks for your detailed reply. In fact gsync works but although hp advertises it is gsync compatible the driver says it is a non compatible monitor. All driver and Firmware are updated or up to date, using the display port cable from the box.
Regards
Christian
