Hello,

I have a problem with my new Omen 32x Smart Monitor. The OSD and the entire Google TV interface (including all apps) look fine after restarting the monitor or turning it on after a full shutdown, but when it is in a standby mode for a while and gets woken up from it, everything suddenly looks blurry and not sharp like it is being displayed in a different, lower resolution than 4K. The problem persists until another restart. This applies only to the OSD and Google TV - image from external sources is always displayed correctly. I tried restoring the default settings but to no avail. I assume this is a software bug that can only be resolved with an update, but maybe there is a different solution to this. Unfortunately I am not able to take a photo of this issue that would show it accurately.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi @Bartek02,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I get how upsetting the situation might be. Here’s what you can do for now:

Restart the monitor after waking from standby, this restores sharpness temporarily.

Stay on current firmware and keep checking HP’s drivers page for updates, since this looks like a software bug.

Based on your description, the issue seems to be a firmware/software bug rather than a hardware fault, since external sources always display correctly. There isn’t a manual setting that resolves this permanently. For now, continue using the restart workaround

I hope this helps

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
