HP Pavilion Desktop - TP01-0066

Hello I have intermittent signal connection from HP Desktop TP01-0066 to HP monitor using a HDMI cable I think I may not have the correct cable.

How can I figure out what would be the correct type of HDMI cable to use?

In reading about choices I see I can consider using a DisplayPort cable.

If it is better to go with this type of cable, what is the correct type of DisplayPort cable to use?

My Monitor is a HP as well.

Thank you very much.

Laura

The specs of your machine is

           https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06465440

It has two sets of video out ports

1. From motherboard

(1) HDMI v1.4b/HDCP 2.2 port
(1) VGA port

2. From AMD Radeon™ 550 Graphics (2 GB GDDR5 dedicated)

1x DVI
1x HDMI 2.0b
1x DisplayPort 1.4a

All ports from motherboard are disabled. You have to use the HDMI port from the video card.

Regards.
