@Terry1325red -- the "usual suspects" are:

  1. failure of the external power supply
  2. broken connector where the cord from the power supply plugs-in to the computer
  3. failing motherboard
  4. failing processor
  5. RAM not completely inserted into its socket
  6. (desktop computer): graphics adapter card not completely inserted into its socket

For #1, can you use a MultiMeter to measure the Voltage & Wattage being produced, or can you try a replacement?

For #2, maybe a bit of "wiggling" the connector might temporarily produce a "solid" connection.

For #3 & #4, these are not components that you can easily tet

For #5, remove the RAM, and reinsert it

For #6, remove the card, and reinsert it.

Did you purchase the computer within the last 12 months?

If so, contact HP Support to open a claim against the HP Warranty,

to get it fixed at HP's expense.

Otherwise, take it to a professional computer technician, and pay for trouble-shooting.

Good luck!
