Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is it possible to add a second / dual monitor to a ProDesk 400 G5? I read also in a previous forum that a January 2020 Windows updated disabled this. Any idea if this issue has been resolved in later Windows updates?

Thanks in advance.

That reference is old. I looked at it and so did 300+ others and no one gave any help.

It is possible that recent updates fixed the problem.

Your system as listed here shows optional DP, HDMI, VGA, or USB output.  Did you get that option on your system?

If you do not have those options then you cannot try a TV set.  You will have to borrow a monitor that supports VGA input.  I do not know your location but where I live (USA) I can obtain a $20 monitor from goodwill with both cables (dvi & vga) and can return it for full refund within a week.

If your 400 G5 has Wi-Fi (also optional) then IF you have a laptop you can use it as a second monitor as explained below

Thank you greatly for the recommendation. The desktop did have a dedicated display port which just required a VGA adapter (link attached). Once hooked up, the computer immediately recognized the second monitor as the primary, without any need of software updates.  Appreciate your time and assistance.
