Pavilion G6 - 2209 Sia
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My LCD screen is only showing the back light and no  video signal is coming through. A techician adviced me to replace the video flex cable. Unfortunately a technician who was attending to the laptop earlier had removed the sticker with the video flex product details from the  cable I am using. Kindly help me get the video Flex cable product ID and advice where I can place an order. Thanks in advance

Hey there! @Ndole, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!

I understand you have display issues with your laptop.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

Does the issue persist in BIOS?

As you mentioned you only see the backlight display but you don't see anything on the screen also you got it checked from a technician and he told you that it is an issue with the display cable.

I have checked the records and found the replacement part number for the display cable, Please find the details below.

Display cable (included in the Display Cable Kit) 681808-001

Refer the laptop user guide to know more information.

Note: Refer page 25 for more information.

You can purchase the part from HP parts store using this link.
