@Amar80, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Monitor Power Issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your monitor does not turn on, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Perform a Basic Check

  1. Ensure the Monitor is Plugged In: Verify that the power cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the power outlet.
  2. Check the Power Outlet: Ensure the wall socket or power source is functional by plugging in another device.
  3. Power Button: Confirm the monitor’s power button is switched ON.

Inspect Power Supply

Internal Power Supply (Monitors with built-in power adapters):

  • Recycle Power:
    1. Disconnect the power cord from the monitor.
    2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    3. Wait at least 60 seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the monitor and plug it directly into the wall outlet.
    4. Press the Power button to turn on the monitor.

External Power Supply (Monitors with external power adapters):

  • Check Compatibility:
    • Ensure the external power module specifications (voltage and amperage) match those required by the monitor.
  • Recycle Power:
    1. Disconnect the power cord from both the monitor and the wall outlet.
    2. Wait at least 60 seconds before reconnecting the power cord.
    3. Plug the power cord directly into the wall outlet.
    4. Press the Power button to turn on the monitor.

Test with Another Power Source or Cord

  1. Use a Different Power Cord:
    • If available, try a different power cord that matches the monitor's specifications to ensure the issue is not with the cable.
  2. Use a Different Outlet:
    • Plug the monitor into a different working power outlet to rule out issues with the original power source.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
