Elderly HP Pavillion, p6 2136b PC: graphics card Radeon HD 6530D died. I am 81 but techie enough I think I can replace it myself, but I don't know what is a reasonably priced replacement. No gaming only occasional movie streaming.

Hi:
The AMD Radeon HD 6530D is the onboard motherboard graphics adapter, so the only way to replace that would be to replace the system board and that brings in other issues such as having to buy a new Windows license and whatnot.
Replacing the motherboard is not worth the time, trouble or expense.
The PC does have support for an add in PCIe x16 graphics card, so I recommend you get a used but tested and working AMD Radeon HD 6570 graphics card and install it in the available PCIe x16 graphics card slot and hopefully that will work and be a relatively cheap fix to the problem.

Have it on order and should be here next week. I'm in hopes the slot is obvious to install it...LOL. Also hope it fixes the problem. I really miss m. y computer and hate my hubs laptop. Thank you so much for your help.

You're very welcome.

The PCIe x16 graphics card slot is the long black slot above the 3 little PCIe x1 slots.
