HP 27es 27-inch Display
Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to understand whether it is possible (and advisable) to replace the cracked LCD panel of an HP 27es 27-inch display on my own (warranty expired).

A search on https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/2df5ff8 shows only the panel type as IPS but neither its vendor or its model number, hence I assume the part is made in-house by HP. I would appreciate if anyone knows how to get its part number and whether it is possible to buy it somewhere. Of course, even assuming that was possible, the replacement might make little sense if the part cost is higher than that of a new monitor. I just hate producing e-waste if there is a way to avoid it.

Thanks in advance for every suggestion

HP does not supply part for its panel alone, you have to buy elsewhere (and you don't know what is part #)

Buying a new monitor would be the way to go.

Thanks for the info, Banhien. Unfortunately you confirmed me what I suspected. It's a shame having to throw away what is basically a brand new monitor just for having accidentally hit the screen. More unnecessary waste in our landfills because a company is unwilling to sell parts. I'll make sure to to promote a more sustainable developmentby  buying a new monitor from a company that makes replacement parts available,

Regards
