Hi, I recently received a replacement HP 527sa monitor under warranty via UPS. I have received a UPS return label for the defective monitor.
The only issue with the original monitor is that its physical display buttons are not working, although the display itself works.
I would like to keep the original monitor as a second monitor if possible. Is there any option to retain the defective unit, either without returning it or by paying an agreed amount?
Please let me know before I send it back.

Hi @alisterpereir42
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thank you for reaching out, and I completely understand why you would like to keep the original monitor as a secondary display, especially since the screen itself is still functioning.
In situations involving warranty replacements, the return requirements and any options to retain the original unit are determined by the warranty and replacement program associated with your case.
In your case of the replacement the concerned support team needs to review the details of your replacement order and advise whether there is any option to retain the original monitor, To get you the best assistance, we need to take this conversation to a private chat.
