I've had to reset my pc for the 2nd time in 7 months, this time due to 'profile not loaded' , I've never had to reset my previous pc's but seems to be a fault with HP?

Hi @JohnR65,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear about the ongoing issues with your HP PC. The "profile not loaded" error typically relates to issues with user profile settings on the operating system, which can occur for various reasons and is not necessarily specific to HP products. Here are a few general troubleshooting steps you might consider before deciding to reset your PC again:

Check for Corrupt User Profile: Sometimes a user profile can become corrupt, leading to loading issues. You can try creating a new user account to see if this resolves the problem.

Perform System Restore: If you have system restore points created, you can revert your PC's state to an earlier point where things were working fine.

Update Drivers and System Files: Make sure all your system drivers and Windows updates are up to date. Sometimes, outdated or corrupted drivers can cause profile loading issues.

Check Disk for Errors: Use Windows' built-in tools to check for disk errors that might be causing the problem. You can do this by opening a command prompt as an administrator and running chkdsk /f.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I've done all that prior to you message and it made no difference and in fact now I can't use cmd as I'm not the Administrator according to this stupid HP pc. I reset the pc completely to get it back to factory settings, losing all my files and folders in so doing and had to put them all back after the reset. As this is the 2nd time within 7 months there must be some inherent bug in the HP pc!

Hi @JohnR65,

Thank you for your response.

May I know from where you are installing the OS?

What's an OS?

Hi @JohnR65,

Thank you for your response.

We would like to know which OS you are using and where you got this OS.

Do you have any OS CDs?
Do you have any personalised OS?

I'm using Win 11 on the HP Omen pc I bought last April which seems to be a bad omen! Since I reset it for the 2nd time in 7months I'm now the administrator but when listening to music on youtube I keep getting bells in the back

ground like notifications but I've turned them all off!
