I am requesting advice for the screen problems that I have been experiencing with my HP Spectre x 360. It first started with the bottom of my screen being covered in black to where I can now not see the tool bar. Then my screen started to get these colorful lines that imprint the page I was on, onto the page I went onto afterwards. The screen then starts to turn white to where it is very hard to read what I was once able to read. Once I turn off the computer it is back to a brightness I can read things on, but the same thing reoccurs every time.

Hi @RileyKandles,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with some significant display issues on your HP Spectre x360. While I can offer some general advice, Here are some steps you can take.
Check for Software Issues:
- Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Visit the official HP website and download the latest drivers for your graphics card.
- Run a full system scan for malware and viruses. Sometimes, malicious software can cause display problems.
External Display:
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV. If the external display works fine, it's more likely that the issue is with the laptop's display.
Update/Reinstall Graphics Drivers:
- Open the Device Manager on your laptop.
- Locate the display adapter, right-click, and choose "Update driver" or "Uninstall device" (you can reinstall the driver after uninstalling).
Adjust Display Settings:
- Go to "Settings" -> "System" -> "Display" and adjust the screen resolution. Sometimes incorrect resolution settings can cause display issues.
Check for Overheating:
- Overheating can cause various hardware issues. Ensure that your laptop is adequately ventilated and not running too hot.
Backup Your Data:
- If you haven't already, make sure to back up your important data. This is especially important if the issue is hardware-related and may require a repair that involves data loss.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
