Please help! I am trying to set up 2 separate external monitors on my HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-c0000 (2W0J6AV) and can't get it to work. HP said I needed to purchase their Universal USB-C Multiport Hub, but it isn't working. When I connect my monitor using the hub, it isn't detected (I've tried VGA to HDMI and VGA to USB into the hub). My monitor only works when I connect it directly to my laptop via HDMI, but I need to also connect a 2nd external monitor, which is why I purchased the hub.
I've connected HP several times and I cannot get an answer. Please help!! THANK YOU!!!!

What is your HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-c0000 (2W0J6AV) machine on the following list (96 of them):
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/product-specs/hp-17.3-inch-laptop-pc-17-c0000/model/2100371458

They should have SAME ports. Your machine It ONLY has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
For more connectivity, please use
True Universal Docking Stations
