Hi @Joshua120,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with vertical line on your HP monitor.
Here are a few steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
Check the Cable Connections: Ensure that the cables connecting your monitor to your computer are securely plugged in. This includes both the power cable and the video cable (HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA). Sometimes, a loose connection can cause display issues.
Inspect the Cables: Examine the cables for any visible signs of damage or wear. If you notice any problems, try replacing the cable to see if that resolves the issue.
Try a Different Cable/Port: If you have access to another cable or a different port on your computer or monitor, try using those to rule out issues with the cable or port.
Check the Monitor’s Settings: Sometimes, adjusting the monitor's settings through its on-screen menu can help. Look for options related to screen alignment or pixel adjustments.
Test with Another Device: Connect your monitor to a different computer or device. If the line persists, the issue is likely with the monitor itself rather than your computer.
Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your computer’s graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated or corrupt drivers can sometimes cause display issues.
Factory Reset: Some monitors have an option to reset to factory settings. Refer to the monitor’s manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead!
