hello there
I've been struggling with This Issue for 3 weeks now
I have a nvidia mx130 gpu 4gb gddr5
and an Integrated 620 Uhd Intel Graphics

My Laptop Is not even 2 Months old yet
I made sure that it doesn't heat, Both cpu and Gpu temperatures are FINE
I have tried restarting
Disabling game dvr in the registry
Lowering the Graphics in the game
Installing different Driver Versions Both from the NVIDIA and HP websites (for my exact laptop model)
Setting battery plan to high performance
Disabling and Enabling the GPU
Checking for Viruses and malware with Malwarebytes avast est nod32 etc
Adjusting the Right settings in the Nvidia Control panel so that It gives me the Best performance
Rolling back and Uninstalling updates (Windows 10)
Updated Windows to the latest Update available
Updated Bios
Trying third party software like throttestop
my Games were running very Smooth and All of a sudden they're unplayable
My GPU gets Fps drops even on Old games like css or L4D2 or gmod that doesn't Need any High specs that even my Integrated graphics Is doing better
I Used msi afterburner Monitoring While playing and
I've noticed that my gpu Usage drops for no reason Even though the Temps of both the cpu and gpu are fine
please help me with this Issue

Try the below steps, as even if the game is compatible with your system hardware it may have a slow performance because you are using the windows 8, 8.1 or 10 as the OS uses most of the CPU & graphics card usage, you might want to reduce the visual effects for windows to save the amount of CPU & Graphics card usage required to run your game properly. 

  

Here's how you do it: 

  • Go to Start Menu > click on Settings. 

  • Type performance > choose Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.  

  • In the new window, go to the Visual Effects and select Adjust for best performance. 

  • click Apply and ok...this should do the trick. 
     

If the issue persists, The best way to resolve the issue is to follow the suggestions of the HP Guided Troubleshooter:

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

 

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

    Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

     Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also, ensure Windows is up to date.

 

Select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

 

Make sure the BIOS and graphics driver are updated.

Done that.
I still have the GPU underperformance
I've updated the Driver and BIOS from the HP recommended Drivers for my exact laptop model
Windows Is update to date as well.

Try running the NVIDIA auto-detect tool this will look for the latest driver from the NVIDIA site.
