Screen brightness adjuster suddenly stopped working a few days ago and is stuck on 37. Any ideas?!

Since this happened recently, it is likely an update to windows caused the problem. 

See if you can roll back the video driver using windows device manager as shown.

If the driver cannot be rolled back (control grayed out) we can try something else.

With the device manager up, do you see any warning icons?

What is the product ID of your system?
