Around 3/4 of the touch screen does not respond to touch and the remaining 1/4 that does respond, responds intermittingly. I tried several proposed solutions found at this link https://support.hp.com/ie-en/document/ish_4305073-3491276-16, including reinstalling the driver, checking for updates, configuring the touch screen display, the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics, and I attempted to adjust the power management settings, but my PC does not have the extra tab labeled "Power Management". Nothing worked! And for the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics both of the tests failed, but I was not provided a failure code, instead the system logged the failure as a canceled test as though I did not attempt to make the touch screen work for 3 minutes without a response. I also attempted to update the BIOS and graphic driver, but was met with an Error 404 code when clicking on the link. Before trying all of the previously mentioned proposed solutions, I tried taking the laptop into a licensed service center, and the gentleman simply disabled the touch screen and said he could not fix it.
So now what?
