Thank you for posting on HP Forums, MKazi is at your service.
I understand that you have an HP ENVY All-in-One - 27-p014 PC and the touchscreen does not in certain areas. I'll be glad to assist you with this case.
Did any software changes or updates happen on the PC?
Was there any physical damage to the screen?
Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
- Shutdown the PC.
- Disconnect all cables and devices from the PC. Also, disconnect the power cable.
- Press and hold the power button of the PC for 10 seconds and then release it.
- Reconnect the power cable, keyboard and the mouse to the PC.
- Power on the PC.
If the issue persists then let us test in the BIOS if the touchscreen works or not. The following steps will help:
- Shutdown the PC.
- Restart the PC and immediately hit the f10 key repeatedly (7-8 times) to enter the BIOS.
- Please touch the areas which do not work for the touchscreen. If you hear a beep sound then it indicates that it is not a hardware failure.
- Once you have checked in the BIOS, you can hit f10 key to exit.
Secondly, let us run a hardware test on the touchscreen to be double assured. The following steps will help.
- Shutdown the PC.
-
Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
-
On the main menu, click Component Tests.
Figure : Selecting Component Tests from the main menu
-
The Component Tests menu displays. Your Component Tests menu might be different, depending on the components installed on your computer.

-
Touch Screen Test - Quick interactive test to determine if the touch screen is functioning correctly. (This test is not available in the Windows version of the hardware diagnostics at this time.)
To run the test, click Touch Screen, and then click Run once.
If the touchscreen test fails then you may contact our HP phone support team to explore the service options available for your HP PC.

I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Keep me posted. Good luck!
Happy New Year! 🙂
