Touchscreen - All in one

HP Recommended

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Well after almost a year of my touchscren stopped working - today its working at times. I've noticed that the taskbar next to clock stretches out when touch is working then stops when its back to normal.

Looking in the Device Manager whilst this was going on, I have noticed that when it works the touch screen driver (hidden) inHuman Interface Device shows hidden when not working then it shows up working when it is..?!

I have taken a small clip of it in action but I cant see where on here that I can attach to it?

So what does that mean in terms of my lost touch screen? Is it working its way back or not?

@Traci74
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Firstly, let's perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant

To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates. Install updates from HP Support Assistant:

Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.

  1. To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon https://support.hp.com/doc-images/932/c05040382.jpg.
  2. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  3. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  4. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  5. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  6. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

BIOS Update: Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
