Hi community 🙂
Since a few days, my HP Elitebook is not working properly. The touchscreen does not respond to touch at all and the touchpad functions minimally. I can use the mouse on the touchpad and select things, the scrolling-function using two fingers, as well as the function of showing all open apps via swiping up with three fingers, do not work. I tried to re-enable or re-install the touchscreen via device-manager as proposed by HP, unfortunately, under "human interface" there is no "compliant touch screen", as you can see in the attached picture (in German since I speak German and my laptop is set to German).
I am unsure if there is something sufficiently wrong with my Elitebook to contact HP for help or if I can fix my issues easily via some reinstallation. The latest windows-update is on my computer, the issues have been present before the update and are now still persisting...
Thanks in advance for any tips and tricks,
Joy

I have exact same problem (my touchpad does not at all work) with same model - when I had the issue the driver (hidden in the driver management) said error 49 I think? - something about it being not connected. Worst part is that in UEFI mode it accept both my touchscreen input and touchpad. Tried to contact support but their help so far could not solve my issue.
