If you have HP Support Assistant, open it, select 'Troubleshooting' for your computer. There's a ribbon about 1/3 of the way down, near the right side click on 'Warranty and Services'. Warranty status should be displayed there.
Good luck!

Thank you I checked warranty the other day and it is out.
I need to check if I got Product Care from Harvey Norman.
If I did then it will be under extended warranty with them.
Thanks for all of your help.
I really appreciate it.

Looking through 'apps and features' I found two EzPen applications; I uninstalled the non-HP one. Touch screen now works.
Apparently (?) EzPen doesn't work on some HP laptops anyway, and installing the second one disables the necessary drivers. In Drivers under 'human interface drivers' I now see all drivers up and running, including the touch screen.
Under 'apps and features' search for 'ez'. See if you get two EzPen applications. One is Elan; leave that one and uninstall the other one. See if that fixes your touch screen.
My laptop doesn't support EzPen anyway; my wife's does. In any case it's not something either of us use, and I'm guessing you don't either, so uninstalling one or more of the apps shouldn't harm anything.
