I have an HP 6XJ00AA monitor. Every time I turn it on it displays a "monitor status" message for several seconds and blocks out a portion of the screen. How do I turn off the notification?

Hi @Schuuch-UlareeU,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To turn off the "monitor status" notification on your HP ENVY Desktop PC, you can follow these steps.
Check the Monitor Settings:
- Press the menu button on your monitor (usually located on the side or bottom).
- Navigate to the settings or options menu.
- Look for any notifications or status messages settings and disable them.
Update Monitor Drivers:
- Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Monitors section.
- Right-click your monitor and select Update driver.
- Follow the prompts to search for updated drivers.
Adjust Windows Notification Settings:
- Go to Settings > System > Notifications & actions.
- Scroll down and find the monitor or display-related apps.
- Turn off notifications for these apps.
Check for Monitor Firmware Updates:
- Visit the monitor manufacturer’s website and look for firmware updates.
- Download and install any updates if available.
Check for Hardware Issues:
- Ensure all cables between your monitor and PC are securely connected.
- Test with another monitor or cable to see if the issue persists.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
