Product: Ho 24mh monitor
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

How can I turn off the volume on my HP 24 mh monitor? I am using headphones for phone calls. The sound for the monitor goes through the hdmi cable. No sound settings on the pc for the monitor. There has to be a way to turn off the monitor sound. These are confidential phone calls.

You should be able to disable HDMI sound. Please try

 

(a) Open Sound settings

(b) From a list of Output sound, Right click HDMI sound and disable it (*)

 

(*) You may see HP 24mh sound, just right clisk and disable it.
