Product: HP ENVY 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17m-ch1000 (436X2AV)

Since getting my new Envy (had older one), I can be typing and hit something(s) and all the text goes away.  It happens all the time in my email.  I've gotten so I have to type emails in Office word and copy into an email.  Does anyone know what I might be hitting that has a shortcut maybe to delete all.  It was never a problem on old Envy.
