HP Envy All-in-One 34-c1002naBundle PC
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi

I have purchased a "USB-C to Dual HDMI Adapter" so that I can extend to x2 additional monitors.  The adaptor when plugged into the USB C port on the back of the HP Envy does recognise the two external monitors (When in Settings - Display) but no output is shown on either extended monitors.  Does the USB-C ports on the HP Envy not Support Video Output?  If not how can I extend my output from the HP Envy 34 to x2 External Monitors?

Interesting.  The spec page for the HP Envy All-in-One 34-c1002naBundle PC indicates there are two Thunderbolt connectors on the back of that PC.  Which use the USB-C connection.  Those should support the USB-C to Dual HDMI Adapter,  however it might depend on the adapter.  What is the make and model of the adapter?

Hi,
I purchased a Mokin (Model no. MOUC0703) SN: 2347.

(MOKiN USB C to Dual HDMI Adapter, 2 IN 1 USB C Dual HDMI Monitor Adapter 4K@60Hz,USB C Hub to 2 HDMI Splitter Dual Monitors Adapter)

Perhaps the reason has something to do with the note under that product description.

"this USB C to HDMI Splitter Dual Screen CANNOT work with HP Pavilion/HP EliteBook/Lenovo IdeaPad."

I have heard that HP products may not support that type of hardware.

Since you do have USB "Type A" so a USB to HDMI adapter should work for one display plus there is a DisplayPort™ 1.4 that should support another HDMI display  with an adapter.  I know that is not what you wanted to hear, but that is a solution.

The Saga continues....I bought a USB to HDMI adaptor and have plugged that into one monitor.  I have connected the third monitor via a HDMI cable from the HDMI port from the HP Envy to its HDMI port.  The problem I have is that the HP Envy does not recognise both monitors whilst being connected in this manner (e.g. does not extend to two additional monitors at the same time).  If I want monitor 1 to work with the HP Envy I have to unplug the connection of Monitor 2.  If I want monitor 2 to work with the HP Envy then I have to unplug the connection to Monitor 1.  The HP Envy will not extend to the other 2 monitors at the same time

This is getting interesting.  I have looked, the  HP Envy All-in-One 34-c1002naBundle PC has HDMI and display-port, so it should be able to support the two additional monitors but most definitely with the USB to HDMI adapter.

So - the USB to HDMI adapter must be causing the problem.  Please indicate the make and model of the adapter.

Here is a sample unit that claims to do what you are asking

I am at a lose as to why the setup you describe does not work.
