Hi ,
I purchased the following desktop - HP - ENVY Desktop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 512GB Solid State Drive - Nightfall Black (Model:TE01-0034). I am trying to add a third monitor. I have purchased three USB Type-C to HDMI adaptor and none seems to work. I keep getting the error that the USB is not recognized. The last adaptor I purchased was an HP USB C to HDMI Adapter 4K@60Hz. This was recommend in your community forum. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks
Trevor

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06443577
It has
1 headphone/microphone combo;
1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1;
4 USB 3.1 Gen 1
That red port is hopeless, looks like it does not support Alt mode and its works similar to other 4 USB 3.1 Gen 1, except its shape and size therefore HP USB C to HDMI Adapter 4K@60Hz won't work.
You have to use VGA and HDMI port at the back for monitors.
Regards.
