Hey all
I am having an issue with either the webcam or the USB ports on users PC. I have a Logitech C920 HD camera and this is all up to date regarding software and firmware. My user uses an HP Z1 G9 Tower Desktop PC and all the drivers are up to date on this machine.
However on occasions their webcam can stop working and in device manager I can see the following: Unknown USB device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) The only way to fix this is take the webcam out and then plug it in again, I have done this and have used other USB ports and it works till it fails again. I have used another non branded webcam and the same issues occurs.
I have made sure everything on the machine is up to date and have disabled the following power setting for USB: USB selective suspend setting: disabled
Please let me know if there is anything else I can try.

Maybe because Logitech no longer provides the latest USB drivers.
I looked it up in the Microsoft Update Catalog using your camera type, Logitech C920 HD camera.
From there, Logitech only provides drivers for Windows 8, so that when it is almost installed on Windows 11, it will fail again, because it is not compatible with your version of Windows.
