Hello,
I got an ENVY Desktop with only Integrated Graphics, and would like to use an HDMI splitter to extend the display on my 2nd monitor. I am only able to duplicate. Display settings does not detect the 2nd monitor and I do not get the resolution option of 3840x1080.
I used a VGA to HDMI adaptor and it worked (as I took 2 outputs from the CPU. HDMI and VGA) but the VGA quality on the screen was not in par with the HDMI cable and the difference was significant.
I would like to know if my desktop can support multiple monitors using "extend" from an HDMI Splitter? If not, what are my other options to get the same quality as HDMI on other monitor (Not going to purchase a video card, sorry)

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to get the answer to this question, If your HDMI port is an "Input" port, it cannot be used to connect an external display but is intended to allow the use of the All-In-One itself as a display.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
