Does anyone know if you can use an All-In-One PC display as a slave display. I have a 12.1" Surface laptop and would like to use my 27" display as a screen when working at home. I don't seem to be able to find an input port.

Some of the AIO's will allow the screen to be used but it has to be a model that will allow that. For one point the AIO has to have a HDMI input port, and the laptop a HDMI output port.
Post the complete model numbers for both PC's for help in looking for that port.

Thanks for the reply.
My surface has an output because i use it for presentations and connect to displays via my display port that i can convert to HDMI.
My PC is an HP Pavilion All-in-One - 23-q252na
• Serial number: CZC62873TT
Hope that helps and any further info would be great.

Here is the manual for that model AIO

From all that I can see about the HDMI port is that it is for a video connection to a TV or projector - so an output. There is only one HDMI, so the screen cannot be used for an input.
Sorry

@scottiep8800 -- as an alternative, consider running Windows Remote Desktop on your All-In-One, connecting over your local network to the copy of Windows running on the laptop. The keyboard/mouse/screen on your All-In-One will manipulate Windows on your laptop.
