VGA port not working and system does not detect a monitor. However, HDMI port does work. I'm trying to add second monitor. Can this system support two monitors?

What is your Pavilion Desktop 590 ? For example HP Pavilion 590-p0066 machine. Please view the following video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38NPxhujOxo
- Make sure your cables are connected properly to the new monitors. Your PC should automatically detect them and show your desktop.
- Right-click anywhere on the desktop on any screen and choose Display settings. Scroll down to Multiple Displays, click the drop-down menu and choose a display setting.
- Choose one of the Duplicate desktop options to show the same things on multiple screens. Pick Extend desktop to extend your work surface.
Regards.

Thank you. I have a HP Pavilion 590 Series Desktop, 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8400,16GB DDR4, 256GB SSD Plus 2TB HDD,2GB AMD Radeon RX 550.
I should have known this but I'm returning to the PC because of software requirements and forgot much of how to set up a desktop. Because I have a graphics card the internal vga and hdmi will not work. The Radeon RX 550 ports include a hdmi, dvi and display port and after speaking with the seller, can support up to three monitors. Display port to hdmi cable on the way!!
