Thanks for the post and Welcome to HP Forums
I understand that you are facing a concern with HP Monitor
There can be multiple reasons why this Blackout happened
To isolate this concern, you need to do certain precautionary Troubleshooting’s
- Do a Power Drain of the Monitor – Remove the Power cable and Data cable and press and hold the power button for 5 seconds and connect them back
- Still un-resolved – Proceed with second Option
- Blackout issue if happens intermittently can also be a concern with your VGA Card of the PC you are using – Make sure you have the Latest drivers and BIOS updated in the pc
- Try to isolate the issue by using a Different Monitor
- If different Monitor is working perfectly fine – then you need a Replacement Monitor
- If it is under warranty – call HP Support for the same
