First, I loaded new drivers

Next, Powered computer down and installed card in PCI-16 slot

Power on stops on HP logo screen

Hi:

 

The only suggestion I can offer would be to change the required BIOS settings to allow a non-HP video card to work on a HP computer that came with W8 or newer.

That suggestion to enable legacy boot and disable secureboot, worked!
