Touchscreen has been acting up for the last 6 months. I don't use it. Would like to know how to permanently uninstall it so that it doesn't install every time I power up the desktop. Thanks for any help.

This solution only works for the current active session. If you turn off the desktop and start a new session the touchscreen re-installs with the same problem. How do I remove the install from my start-up script?

HP Recommended

Open de PowerShell (with Admin)  an then write :

Get-PnpDevice | Where-Object {$_.FriendlyName -like ‘*touch screen*’} | Disable-PnpDevice -Confirm:$false

Then enter

to active :

Get-PnpDevice | Where-Object {$_.FriendlyName -like '*touch screen*'} | Enable-PnpDevice -Confirm:$false

Once I enter the script line that you previously posted, in PowerShell what do I do next. I have never worked with a scripting app or Command Line apps

tried the proposed solution, but it didn't do anything to disable the touch screen. I appreciate your help.
