HP ENVY Curved All-in-One - 34-a027c

I have a webcam installed however, it does not show up in Device Manager nor is it recognized when I bring up the Camera app.  I have tried all the reboot and diagnostics but nothing appears to work....HELP!!

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

Check for Disabled Webcam in Device Manager:

  • Open Device Manager by searching for it in the Start menu.
  • Click on View and select Show hidden devices.
  • Look for your webcam under Imaging Devices.
  • If you see it listed, right-click and select Enable if it's disabled.

Reinstall Webcam Driver:

  • In Device Manager, right-click on your webcam (if it's listed) under Imaging Devices and select Uninstall device.
  • After uninstalling, restart your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver. If not, visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest driver.

Check Camera Privacy Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
  • Ensure that Allow apps to access your camera is turned on, and verify that the Camera app has permission to use the webcam.
