Windows 10 does not list the 1600x900 resolution required for my monitor HP 2009m

I recently "upgraded" to Windows 10 on my home desktop, and this resolution menu does not list the 1600x900 resolution required for my monitor HP 2009m. My HP laptop at work on Windows 10 does have 1600x900 listed in its resolution menu list. How do I get the right resolution on my home computer?

@RD905 The best way to get the resolution of your preference is to update the graphics card drivers: click here to find and install the same, while you're at it, please update the BIOS and the Chipset drivers too, when done, restart the device and check if it works, if not, reinstall the graphics card drivers from the device manager using the below steps:

Step 1: Use Windows + X and select device manager.

Step 2: look for display adapters, and right click on the available display adapters, then select uninstall, when done, restart the computer.

Step 3: Update the graphics driver for your specific computer model.

For more information on updating drivers, please see HP support document Downloading or Updating Software and Drivers for HP Computers .

I just added an HP2009m as my second monitor, however, while I can get the screen to extend over to it, it doesn't not have the option of 1600x900 so everything looks distorted.  I've tried updating drivers etc. and the only thing I can think of is that it may not be compatible with Windows 10?
