EliteDesk 800 SFF G4
Win 10 2004
We use 1 of the 2 built in display ports for the monitor and then we have HDMI in the PortFlex IO port.
Yesterday some of the computers started getting from Windows Update Intel Corporation - Display - 27.20.100.8681.
Even before the restart of the computer, it kills the HDMI (PortFlex) port
Upon restart the driver fails to install per the Windows Update Settings page but is listed on the display adaptor itself.
The display adaptor is Intel 640 UHD
Device Manager Rollback driver and restart; nothing
Device Manager Remove device and restart; nothing
Go into display setting and detect monitor; nothing
Go into Intel Control panel and detect monitor; nothing
Only way I was able to fix it was
1) Install latest driver from Intel (100.8853) and Shut Down <--not sure if this is needed or not
2) Shut down (RESTART WILL NOT FIX)
2) Unplug all monitors on the built-it display port and plug a monitor into the HDMI (PortFlex)
3) Turn on computer and boot into Windows
You can then plug in all other monitors and everything will work.
Anyone have an idea on whats going on here?
