I just ended a zoom call and the words on my screen are shaking.  I closed out all Microsoft Edge pages and other apps but still the words even now are shaking.  I found this question here by someone back in 2023, however I do not see any recommendations on how to correct.

@DDelta911,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

  • Restart your PC and check if the issue persists.
  • Try connecting an external monitor (if available) to see if the problem is with the display.

Adjust Display Settings

Check Refresh Rate

  • Go to SettingsSystemDisplay.
  • Scroll down and click Advanced display settings.
  • Check and adjust the Refresh rate (e.g., 60Hz, 120Hz, or higher).

Disable Hardware Acceleration in Zoom

  • Open Zoom, go to Settings.
  • Navigate to Video.
  • Under Advanced, disable Hardware acceleration.

Update or Reinstall Graphics Drivers

Update GPU Drivers

  • Right-click on StartDevice Manager.
  • Expand Display Adapters.
  • Right-click your GPU (AMD/NVIDIA/Intel) → Update driverSearch automatically.

Reinstall GPU Drivers

  • Visit your GPU manufacturer's website (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) and download the latest driver.

Check for Background Apps

  • Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
  • Check if Zoom or any other heavy process is still running.
  • End tasks if necessary.

Test in Safe Mode

  • Boot into Safe Mode (Shift + RestartTroubleshootAdvanced optionsStartup SettingsRestart → Select Safe Mode with Networking).
  • If the issue disappears, a background app or driver may be the cause.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
