HP ZR2740w 27-inch LED Backlit IPS Monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My ZR2740w monitor will work for less than a second each time the power button is pressed, then go black. The led indicator on the bezel continues to glow blue for about ten seconds and then goes dark.

I found an archived post with the same issue from four years ago (copied below), but it apparently wasn't resolved. I have taken similar troubleshooting steps, including swapping cables, ports, and standards (DP, HDMI, DVI with no effect.

GPU is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060. In the Windows Settings menu Display Settings -> Advanced Display Settings, I noticed that the refresh rate for the monitor shows as 59.885. I have found no way to change it to 60, and wonder if the refresh rate mismatch is causing the problem.

Hello,

My HP ZR2740w goes black just after starting up : I can see the desktop for less than one second, then the screen goes black (the LED remains off, it is not blue or orange).

The screen is detected in Windows display settings (I have two ZR2740w screens so I can see what is happening from the other one).

I cross-tested everything :

- I switched the cables with the other screen, using DisplayPort and DVI-Dual, the issue persists

- I switched the power cable with the other screen, same issue

Could it be an issue with the backlight of the screen?

If this is the case, do these part still exist?
