HP Pavilion All-in-One PC 27-ca1000a IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

When I activate the installed camera, the display (of me) is very green.  Is there a way to alter the color balance?

Boot into the F2 diagnostics and run the camera test.  if the green color is present it is a hardware problem. I looked and did not find any webcam drivers here

Camera shows mostly green on HP Pavilion All‑in‑One PC 27‑ca1000a

The HP Pavilion All‑in‑One PC 27‑ca1000a uses an HP True Vision 5 MP privacy camera (or 5 MP IR privacy camera) integrated into the pop‑up module. A strong green tint usually indicates a software/driver or settings issue rather than a hardware change in this camera.

Try these steps:

  1. Check app camera settings

    • Open the app you’re using (for example, Camera app, Zoom, Teams).
    • Reset or disable any color filters, effects, or “adjust color” options that might be applying a tint.
  2. Test with the Windows Camera app

    • Open the Windows Camera app.
    • If the image looks normal here, the issue is specific to the other application.
    • If it is still green, continue.
  3. Update or reinstall the camera driver

    • Go to Device ManagerCameras.
    • Right‑click the HP camera → Uninstall device (check “Delete the driver software” if shown).
    • Restart the PC so Windows reinstalls the default driver.
    • Then, use HP Support Assistant (preinstalled) to check for driver and firmware updates for your model and install any camera/graphics updates found.
  4. Update system firmware and graphics

    • From HP Support Assistant, install all recommended updates (BIOS/firmware and graphics drivers).
    • Updated graphics drivers can correct color processing for the integrated camera.
  5. Test in multiple apps again

    • Check the camera in at least two different apps after updates to confirm whether the tint is gone.

If the camera still shows a strong green tint in all apps after these steps, the camera module itself might be faulty and require service. Please contact HP support for further assistance.
