@romymouse,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details and I would appreciate if you could, perhaps elaborate on your concern.

  • When was the last time the computer was working fine?
  • What is the exact model for your computer?
  • Share a screenshot of the icons?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the below steps to change the icon.

  1. Step 1: Right-click on a folder you want to customize and select "Properties."
  2. Step 2: In the "Customize" tab, go to the "Folder icons" section and click the "Change Icon" button.
  3. Step 3: Choose one of the many icons listed in the box then click OK.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!

some icons were normal but some were blank; name of icon was visible though and clicking on any of them connected to the webpage desired;
